About her: On Nov. 4, forward Meghan Duggan was named captain of the US women’s national team. A native of Danvers, Duggan played at the University of Wisconsin and has appeared in 86 games for the US since 2007. She was a member of the silver medal-winning team at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and has represented the US in five World Championships, winning gold in 2008. Duggan has recorded 33 goals and 23 assists in her career with the national team.
Decision time: The official roster for the US women’s hockey team will be announced in late December.
