National Football Foundation’s local chapter to hold awards ceremony on May 13

High school football’s best and brightest will be honored on May 13 at the annual awards ceremony of the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation.

Thirty-four student-athletes were selected as Scholar-Athlete award recipients.

The second Jack Daly Award for Academics, Citizenship and Football will go to MIT offensive lineman Ethan Peterson, of Rutland, Vt.

The Ed Schluntz Contributions to Amateur Football Award will go to Mansfield coach and former chapter and NFF Scholar-Athlete Mike Redding.

The Ron Burton Distinguished American Award recipient is collegiate official Angelo Scaccia.
