Milton Academy stays unbeaten in ISL with win over Middlesex

The offensive numbers may have been off, but the result was the same for Milton Academy on Friday. Another win.

The Mustangs improved to 7-0 with a 24-14 win over visiting Middlesex. Milton Academy remains the only unbeaten ISL school heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

Drew Jacobs got things started with a 43-yard, first-quarter scoring run. Jacobs was hurt later in the quarter but his replacement, Luke Macdonald stepped in and ran for 188 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown of his own in the second quarter.

Anthony Scurto hit Jack Cahill for a 5-yard scoring pass for Milton Academy’s other score.

Ahead, 21-0, at halftime, the Mustangs, who had been averaging 38.5 points per game, settled for just a 46-yard Justin Yoon field goal in the second half.
