North: Boys’ hockey players and teams to watch

Boys’ hockey players of the week
Pat Wrenn, Malden Catholic: The junior forward has three goals and two assists in the Lancers’ first two games. Two of those goals came in their season opener against New Jersey’s top-ranked hockey program, Delbarton.
Connor Irving, Beverly: The junior eclipsed the 100-point plateau for his career in a one-goal, three-assist game versus Saugus.
Michael Doucette, Lowell: The senior goalie stopped 36 Wayland shots for his third shutout of the season, running the Red Raiders’ record to 4-0.
Drew Dawson, Chelmsford: The senior picked up where he left off after a 26-goal season last year. Through four games, he has potted seven pucks, including two goals in a 5-1 win over Waltham.
Austin Brown, Methuen: In his first varsity start between the pipes, the junior made 30 saves to preserve a point in a 1-1 tie versus Tewksbury.
