How to get there
Boston is about 150 miles from Brunswick, Maine, about a three-hour drive. Take Interstate 95 north to exit 44, then Interstate 295 to exit 28 (Route 1) in Brunswick.
The Amtrak Downeaster (www.amtrak.com) between Boston and Portland is $42 round trip. Schedule shuttle service from Portland to Brunswick with Outward Express van (800-865-0890; $48 for up to six passengers). V.I.P. Tour & Charter Bus Company (www.vipchartercoaches.com) has a 32-person bus. Concord Trailways also runs between Boston and Brunswick for $43 round trip (www.concordtrailways.com).
